Where would be a good place to start a new life with nothing? (including education....planning on getting that in the new place)...oh and i have a car and some money. I was thinking minneapolis or somewhere north, just anywhere easy and friendly.

I would go to Wisconsin so if your new life doesn't exactly work out at least you have nice people to get wasted with at the bar.

Default Travel and get paid

Go drive a truck....seriously. Find an over the road company that trains you and has a facility to park your car and leave it. Go long enough to look over the country, bank up some money and pay the training off. 6 months to a year of being thrifty and you'll be doing fine. Plus you'll probably know where you'd like to stay put.
