Question: how far 'north' are raised traffic lane bumps used?

They are ubiquitous in California, Arizona and I have seem them in both Oregon and Wash St.

I realize they do not 'live' where there is real snowfall due to the plows knocking them free from the pavement. In those locales, the lane reflecters are recessed into the pavement

They have them in the Seattle area. Not exactly warm, but they don't get much snow there.

We have them in areas of Long Island. It doesn't snow nearly as much here as it does inland. Even when we do get snow, it's gone pretty fast.
