This is a personal thing for everybody. Some love hot, some love cold, some love mild, some love a mix.
I personally think San Diego and Los Angeles have the best. Honolulu has great weather too, getting a little bit more rain so things are very green, but temps stay mild.

For me.... Miami or Key West in the US. In the world, Jakarta or Tahiti. (I like hot and humid)
For most people who like mild but not excessive... San Diego.
For ski lovers.....Denver or Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
For surfers..... Honolulu.
For people who like fog and a chill, but not cold....... San Francisco or Seattle.
For pure winter..... Buffalo
For 4 well defined seasons, with no "extensions" to any of them..... Chicago

Overall, I'd pick San Diego for the least drastic change in year-round weather. Second, I'd pick Los Angeles--little humidity and mostly clear skies for most of the year.
As for areas with season changes, I really like the NYC area. Skies are much sunnier and winters are much more mild than perception and reputation.
