The last time I did there was a giant cloud of smoke where two buildings once stood. I haven't payed attention since.

Never forget.

Default San Francisco!!

Had to vote for my San Francisco... nothing like that view from the Bay, especially when fog drapes over the bridges & buildings. Still takes my breath away, even after living here for 24 years.

pintofury is on a distinguished road
I'll admit I'm biased when I say Minneapolis I did spend most of my life there. However I consider myself a traveler of sorts and I've seen many different skylines/cityscapes across the country.I also tend to judge what they look like at night. That pic of Pittsburgh is cool and Anchorage is awsome.

I dunno...that bridge being lit up like that is way cool. We don't have any big bridges in AK. That is a very well placed shot.
Anchorage is quite small compared to the lower 48 cities. But is set in a nice spot. Right on the water (Cook Inlet) and backed by the mountains. And we don't have any real tall skyscrapers up here either. Might be due to the earthquake prone zone, or that we are a few years behind in things like skyscrapers. Anyone else have a picture of thier city?

Why can't I emphasize the = with darker text or colored text?

I think you missed a big one in that list.... and that's Las Vegas. It has a skyline that people awe over around the world. I mean come on, Phoenix made the list but not the city of lights? Ever see the Vegas skyline at night? It's pretty darn cool!

Thumbs up Breathtaking and Inspiring

While not on the list above the mountains behind Salt Lake City are pretty "breathtaking" (as far as artificial skyline goes: I voted for San Francisco).

What the heck does Kansas City doing on that list?

Phoenix sucks...
No Las Vegas?!....what the heck!?!?
Skyline in New Orleans?!?...
St.Louis' skyline is alright.......the arch is the 'centerpiece'
Los Angeles...there's really no skyline...like Phoenix...
Detroit has a nice skyline with Windsor looking down from Belle Isle...
Denver's skyline is nice....
Chicago has an awesome skyline!!........
Dallas...another city that has the spread-out western skyline....
N.Y.C. skyline, closest i got was the by the bridge around Nyack...looks intimidating.... larger-than-life (skyline)
Houston...really didn't leave an impression...
Boston...nice skyline...right up there with the best...

My vote goes for Las Vegas!!!

Last edited by Blue Grass Fever; 02-27-2007 at 04:17 PM.. Reason: to add Boston...
