Western NC would be the mildest location for winter weather that I would consider moving to.

I am very surprised by the poll numbers. Anyone who has been in So Florida during winter knows it is the warmest\ most pleasant area in the US [minus Hawaii]. It actually reminds me of Santa Monica during summer. Pleasant sunny days w/ 75-80F temps\ onshore coastal clouds\ ocean temp 65-70F\ low humidity-little if any rain.

South Beach\ Miami is exciting & lots of fun. Probably more interesting than even Honolulu.
