Can anyone attest to living in an area that has a laid back, relaxed vibe to it? The people, culture, pace of life, ability to enjoy life with separation of work and play. It can be a city, town, suburban area, northeast, southeast, midwest, west, etc. ( Now, I don't mean laid back to the point of people being spaced out)

San Diego is VERY laid back IMO, especially for a large city.

Honolulu and the entire state of Hawaii is also VERY laid back, probably more so than most places.

I think the suburbs of LA and the SF Bay Area are laid back but not the cities themselves as much.

Anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon but north of Florida.

Key West, Florida seems like it would be a laid back area.

Seattle for a big city felt laid back when I visited. I was also, as someone else mentioned in OKC's downtown/river area, about two years ago and it seemed laid back as well. Houston's traffic was a too hectic to me to be laid back :-) But I still liked our visit.

Florida excluding: Miami, Orlando, parts of Tampa.

The rest of Florida is pretty laid back, especially the panhandle and interior peninsula.

Austin has a very laidback vibe - I love the fact that if its a beautiful weekday during the summer, rush hour starts at noon bc everyone's heading to the lake.
