Somebody mentioned the western part of the SFV and it would be strange since it is very affluent in that part of the city (Ventura County's Westlake Village--also part in L.A. County, Thousand Oaks, Calabasas) and Neiman's doesn't appeal to rednecks!

The rednecks of the L.A. area are in the Inland Empire

other areas of California with rednecks is the Central Valley and East San Diego County

In those areas, it's all about horses and raised trucks and going out to the desert and riding quads and dirtbikes

Nope, not in the City of Houston. Maybe in Texas City or Pasadena which are blue collar suburbs of Houston.

There are a lot around Baltimore, especially in certain suburbs like Dundalk, Essex, Sparrows Point, Lansdowne, Halethorpe and Arbutus plus outlying suburbs like Westminster and Parkton. This is actually why Baltimore is one of my favorite major metro areas, being someone who prefers a more small town lifestyle. There are many neighborhoods where people still marry their high school sweethearts and take their dad's old job at the steel plant, or would like to do that which is harder given the economy and all the jobs that China and India have stolen from us. I've read that the local country music station, the only station I listen to here, is the second most popular in the Baltimore area. There are many parts of the Baltimore area that feel more like a smaller city in Missouri, Ohio or Tennessee than people's image of "East Coast".

I also think a redneck is different from white trash or white ghetto people, which Philadelphia and Boston have large numbers of. There is also a big redneck/western scene around Fort Worth, Texas and declining but still a couple on the outskirts of Las Vegas which actually was very different even 20 years ago before half of California moved there.

There are rednecks and white trash in EVERY city. There may be more in some and less in others, but they are everywhere. People who are saying there are no rednecks in a particular city are kidding themselves.
