I spend alot of time on campus, and due to lack of transportation, I have to walk everywhere to get to place, so I spend more than an hour outside. This is part of why I have a strong preference for cold weather.

Lol yeah I used to think I had a strong preference for cold weather until I had to spend 16 hr shifts outside in below freezing weather.

I do find cold weather more enjoyable though.

Give me the heat any day! I am so tired of shoveling snow and taking hours to thaw out afterwards, no thank you! As soon as I am done with school I am selling the house and heading south!

Walking around outside in the summer makes me sweat alot and makes me feel like I need to take a shower. The humidity makes things worse.

Don't get me wrong, I have a very difficult time in the heat, but cooling off just a little is as easy removing a shirt or wearing shorts.

My utilities do go up during the summer as the a/c is constantly running and I shower twice a day.

But being outside with cold weather, my nose is running, my fingers are hurting, the air is tearing up my skin, and I'm chilled to the bone.

They both suck...

However I'd take a cold winter over a southern summer any day. At least winter kills off weeds/bugs/mold/etc.

Besides you don't really want to snuggle up to your sweetie when they are gross and sweaty!

I lived in Buffalo, and now live down here in the south. I like the sunshine of the south, however its too damn humid, even at 9:00pm

That's another thing I like about cold weather - no bugs.

It's not really cold weather that drives bugs away it's the seasons. Bugs disappear during fall and winter regardless of the temperature. Unless your home is infested in them.
