Arrow Why do people bash Winter???

I mean come on Winter has been around longer than anyone on this earth. It will never go away for a very long time. yet people complain about it. I mean if you were born in a state that has winter and you grow up and live in that same state you should be used/expecting cold temperatures, snowfall, icy roads. I dont seem to understand that people who have lived through 30+ plus winters still continue to complain Winter every year it comes around.

you think you would be used to Winter by now.

I dont know. I think winter can be beautiful. Also it helps me to appreciate the other seasons more and vice versa.

Default Would move if I could.....

Some of us have been there done that.
Grew up with winter.
Later have driven in it, fell in it, shoveled scraped it, Lost power, ect. ect. ect. had surgeries and injuries that tell us our bodies don't like it anymore and are just tired of it.
Plus the heating bills,
but that's just me.

I think Winter is the most wonderful time of the year!! People tend to be more relaxed(apart from Christmas shopping) and things tend to move a little bit slower. I am a Northerner through and through and will always live in the North. I dont mind a foot of snow or scraping ice of my windshield.

It's not basing winter that gets on my nerves.....it's people who get "surprised" by it that do. Also ppl who live in NH/VT/ME and act surprised when they get snow in April? They get snow in April.....every....friggin....year in NH and VT.

I like Winter and snow and all that. Ski trips are awesome!!!
But seriously, if I lived in a city where the winters were so crappy (i.e Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, insert windy, icy, sit inside and get fat city's name here); I would likely shoot myself.
Some of us enjoy exercising outside for at least 10 months a year. If ya can't take the heat.............. say adios to the kitchen. =-)

I don't think it is winter so much but the lack of sunshine during winter. It kind of puts people in hibernation mode. And unexpectedly long winters are the worst. I love working outside. But I'll take winter over the hot heat anytime.
