Portland during summer is nice. It's green, and not too hot. I'd take Phoenix during the winter as it's dry and warm. Yes I wouldn't mind being a snowbird.

Seattle as far as large cities go and Corvallis Oregon for smaller cites.

That's a tough choice. I would say Denver for the major city due to the Rockies and a nice downtown area. I like the drier but temperate climate there. I also like Albuquerque with its southwestern architecture and Boise.

Los Angeles. The Westside is the best the West has to offer. The large city/metro population is a plus to me.

Southern boy loves Denver and vicinity. Probably one of the most popular cities for southerners outside of the South. If not the most popular for them.

My vote goes to Denver. I also really liked Greeley.
And Long Beach CA.
