Out of these major southern cities, which one would you northerners move to if you were forced.

Well, I'm pretty attached to the New York/New England lifestyle, but if I had to move down South I'd pick Orlando first, mostly for the entertainment and restaurant options. I'd prefer northern Virginia though... or is that not considered the "South" anymore?

I also chose Miami because if you go there during winter it's hard to leave

I would like to live anywhere on that list besides Dallas and Charlotte. And I would gladly move to the South, I wouldn't have to be forced.

On a scale of 1 to 10 for how much I'd want to live there, I'd give Austin a 1 and the rest a 0. So, I voted Austin(if forced). I just don't want to move to any of them.

If I were going to move south I'd go to Phoenix, LA or SD.

Charleston. One major criticism I have about the South is its lack of charm in residential architecture, but places like Charleston, Savannah, and New Orleans (at least before it becomes Atlantis) can satisfy my fetish for old-world craftsmanship. Here in Scranton nearly every block oozes character and charm. I'd miss it dearly if given the death sentence of having to move to Cary, NC or North Georgia!

Hmmm... let's see.

Charlotte: No character, and BORING!!
Miami: Too hot, and crime.
Atlanta: Okay, but crime.
Charleston: Maybe
New Orleans: HELL NO!!!
Austin: Sure
Houston: Yep
Orlando: *vomits*
Dallas: Yes

I'd live in Atlanta, Charleston, Dallas, Houston, and Austin. They all seem to have anything you want in the North. Or do they???
