Nothing against Houston but I don't view it as a world city. I doubt people in other countries do either. No offense, just my opinion.

Tell that to people in Africa, Asia, South America and the Middle East. Not saying it is up there with Paris,NYC, and London....but Houston is a world class city in a "way??".

Why do you think folks in those countries would consider Houston a "world city"? What factors make it so well known and important to people around the world? I doubt most people in third world countries have even heard of Houston. NYC, LA, DC - that's about it for the USA.

I'm not arguing, I just don't see how Houston is world-class.

dude half the people in third world countries can't read and have no electricity, do you really think they actually know about NYC and LA??? NYC is a worldwide known city, but lets not step out of boundaries here.

Exactly, which is why I fail to understand why you brought up continents that consist of many third world nations. It makes no sense. Apples and oranges.

And yes, outside of some scattered isolated groups, people in third world nations have heard of NYC. Give 'em some credit, chief.

I'm still waiting for your post explaining Houston's "worldly" attributes.

Houston has strong ties with cities in Africa (not third world cities) and the Middle East, as well as Asia.
