Hello everyone. Just finished the movie "Into the Wild." It was great. I read the book a while back and I usually hate the movie after the book but the movie still managed to be amazing. Anyhow, it got me thinking..
Has anyone out there ever attempted some sort of sojourn throughout the wild (or even through cities)? If yes, I would love to hear some experiences!
I am about half way through college and am always contemplating taking a little trip all by my lonesome after I graduate. Even if I never do, I still love reading about such things.
Also, I do not mean to offend the memory of Chris McCandless in any way. I am just interested in hearing some stories about anyone who has ever just been fed and and hit the open road.
I would figure out some type of skill you could make a little money with as you go.
I would do it and blog about it as your own journal. Just let your loved ones know you are okay from time to time. I want to travel the coast from New England down to the keys and maybe
do the same on the West Coast . I wonder if a hot dog cart at events would make money
but then you get into all the stupid license to do anything/anywhere.
Also...maybe that desire to travel could give you insight into a career that
would have you traveling .

The ending of that movie was very tough to watch. I would love to get up and leave and explore the world but not the way he did it. I couldn't put my family through something like that. Living life with uncertainty seems like it would be an adventure but also very scary.
