Oh wait, I must've logged onto the wrong thread. I thought this was "General U.S.'' Did we annex Japan last night? Gosh darn it, somebody forgot to tell me!

I wouldn't want to live in Japan for various reasons- language being a big one.

I'm no fan of California, but I'll take it to any foreign country. It's still part of America last time I checked.

Uhh... I would take California,
but...
Having been to Japan, I would say that California is nothing like Japan.
The lifestyle in Japan is much more rushed, and they have alot more gadget-y things...its not as high tech as many people make it out to be... but they have more talking and automatic things.
But the ally ways are clean and safe, there is more more neon and dense city structure(more Time Sq sorta things).
The people are more uniform, in an odd way... and I don't mean race or language.
the Japanese use their public transportation way more, and they have more then A bullet train, they have a few and more just subways...

But the cost of living is just horrendous over there, a wealthy family here in the state might be a middle class family with the cost of living.
