Besides outrageous murder rates, what do all these cities have in common? hmmm...let me think.

That's the subject everyone is afraid to talk about.
...and 80 years of bad social policies have had no influence. I mean, Detroit, Baltimore, New Orleans, Saint Louis, Gary and Flint all have thriving economies to begin with. There is so much opportunity that just isn't being taken advantage of.
My old adage was always "A man with nothing to lose will get you every time." We haven't given most Blacks (particularly urban Blacks) in America a whole lot to lose. Then people like you go race baiting and distract America from its fundamental problems in regards to the issue.

Also, each of these cities lost a lot of their manufacturing base, whcih was the major reason that many Blacks came or were recruited to these cities. Think about the moving or downsizing of industries like Steel, Shipping and the Auto industry, 3 industries that heavily relied on the labor of many Black workers. All of those cities named had one to all three of those industries to a large degree, but now have fallen off.

Syracuse ny has about 130,000 residents. In 1999 we had 9 murders. 2003 it rose to 18. The feds hit town and swept up 3 major gangs with rico. Giving over 86 members federal charges and federal time. Since its just gotten even worst, to many chiefs not enough indians. 2008 we just hit 25 murders. Mind u this is suppost to be a white city. What the ****!

We've had 7 so far, which is a lot less than last year, and our police force has really been effective this year, a week ago 36 gang members were arrested and 69 guns were seized, and these guns were massive, ak 47's and even a barrett 50 caliber sniper rifle, which were probably destined for Mexico, so our news stations claim.

Germantown, TN had 1 in 2008. A suburb of the dreaded Memphis. Memphis = 126 murders. I don't really understand theses ranking reports as Memphis was as high as #2 and as low as #14 in the same year?
