This is the whole Northern section of the country.

Probably about Indianopolis and up.

(and if you have to complain and argue about whats northern or not, be my guest becuase everyone sees a diffrent official line between north and south.)

Typically for me "Northern" ends after the Dakotas and beyond that is "Western". However, I would say New York.

New York, Boston, and Chicago are my three favorites. SF is close behind, and then I've got a special love for Philly for some reason.

New York, followed closely by Chicago and San Francisco.

I also like Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver, and Boston, however all cities listed have many cool things about them.

It's a love/hate relationship with all of them, but NYC for the win. One thing I like about it is how whole neighborhoods and subcultures from around the world seem to have just packed up and moved there over the past couple of centuries. Jewish Odessa, for example, isn't in Odessa any more, it's all in New York.

Indianapolis on up? Try any city in the Midwest, Northeast, Northern Plains, and Northwest. Cities like St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Kansas City belong on this list.

"The North" refers to everything north of the I80 and east of the Mississippi.

In a word, civilization.

To that end, I voted Chicago, but NYC and Philadelphia are also favorites of mine

I really regret never having found a chance to live in Philadelphia.
