Within 2 miles of my office in downtown Seattle- 59 Starbucks stores! And thats not even a full 360 degree radius, because I am one block away from the waterfront.

I haven't been to a Walmart in 10 years...when I was last down in Atlanta. I'd probably go if they were close by

I live in Stamford, CT, and we have too many CVS Pharmacy locations. They are building another one also--which is not needed.

As for Starbucks, we have just the right number I think: 6 stores in Stamford.
We only have 1 McDonalds and 1 Burger King and 1 Taco Bell. Fast food is in very short supply here (thank god).
Stamford has 3 or 4 Dunkin' Donuts. A Walgreens is opening soon.
As for Target, there is one downtown. I'm happy to say there are no Wal Marts in Stamford.

CVS and Dunkin Donuts do not exist in the Portland-Metro area (can't speak for the rest of Oregon). But I went to NY in mid-fall and was jazzed to see Dunkin Donuts. And they're all over the place. Ate my share of them.

I knew there were a lot there, but that's outrageous, and that doesn't include all the other coffee places in that area (Cafe Lladro, Seattle's Best, etc)....

My town of less than 10,000 people has 5 Starbucks. One shopping center has 2 (one in Safeway and one across the parking lot). It's a little bit ridiculous.

16 Walmarts within a 10 mile radius of my house. I think that's a lil much. People just can't get enough of their Walmart here though. I prefer Target personally.
