Only if you use them correctly.

Yes, but people also agreed with Adolf Hitler, let's not forget. Some people have a gift of words that can truly mesmerize people and cause them to temporarily swoon---a lot of people said this about President-Elect Obama during his campaign, specifically citing his European tour. I get rep points left and right as well, and Lord knows I'm about as wise as President Bush's left armpit! LOL! I don't want to get too carried away here, but don't just assume "I got a few rep points; therefore, I am right!"

Can we now get back on topic. Keep the personal conversations personal.

If you don't know what it means, then just look it up, as I did. I learned a new word today, and I am thankful for any opportunity to expand my knowledge. Now excuse me while I abscond to the NEPA sub-forum to check into the status of our similarly-volatile political thread, where I have been accosted as of late.

Sorry! Then again, I am a masochist when it comes to controversy!

Glad to refresh your memory for you.

"That doesn't surprise me at all. "

"A physics major? A real live one? With an IQ FOUR standard deviations above the average? Not just three, but FOUR? Lord a mercy! If I had known THAT, I would have NEVER presumed to dispute your word on anything at all. My my. And to think I thought I was just dealing with human being who actually puts his pants on one leg at a time..."

"*yawns* So tell me which part says "Southerners need not apply?" Maybe I missed something. But then again, I don't have an IQ which (drum roll, please) is a -- by gawd -- four standard deviations above the average."

"And your IQ thing sounded like a trumpet factory with quality control problems..."

And those are just the uncivil responses to me. Uncivil responses that YOU started.

Hmmmm, I would think the title of this thread would be "Should you be lucky enough to be able to move to the South...." instead of " If you had to move...."

And I don't think anyone is assuming this. However, if we are getting rep, then we probably are not being utterly irrational.

I am simply astounded that this thread has been allowed to be used as some sort of self-serving "Look at me! Look at me" type of deal. Who gives a flying s*** how intelligent all of you think you are! For real - DM one another and give the rest of us a break! Geesh! Pages and pages of flippant responses that ARE IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM pertinent to the OP's original thread! Oops, guess my response is not pertinent either? I'll quit if all of you will???

An assumptive post that doesn't answer my question.
