in a midstate supermarket -- 150 imported, domestic, Pennsylvania, craft and microbrew beers for sale. "This is so civilized," said Deb Steeley of Lower Paxton Twp.

Certain supermarkets with restaurants are now allowed to sell beer in PA. You can only buy two six packs.

In Indiana; at least in Indianapolis that is, they (retail lobbyists especially) are pushing HARD to repeal the ban on Sunday alcohol sales.

As far as where you can purchase alcohol, you can purchase alcohol anywhere except gas stations. Some gas stations sell beer; but they can not sell it cold, it is room temperature so you have to take it home and chill it first; the logic being you won't want to drink warm beer in your car.

That map's misleading. IL, for example, gives local gov'ts the option to ban Sunday sales, but almost no where actually does it. Chicago, for example, has pretty permissive alcohol laws.

I was gonna, say I've bought beer and liquor a hundred times on a Sunday.

I know in Iowa you couldn't buy liquor/beer until 8am on Sundays. I worked at the grocery store, and no one in the state was aware of the law - until they tried to buy a case of beer at 7am for a picnic or shopping or whatever and I had to tell them no. Of course they'd yell at me, since it really didn't make any sense, but it was what it was...

you can buy beer and hard liquor pretty much anywhere here whenever you want(Wal-Mart, Drugstore, Groc. Store, Convience-Store, etc.) This is the only place I know of where a Walgreens sign says Drugs, Photos, Liquor. They are trying to make it where liquor can be served in salons and barbershops. You can also get daiquiris at movie theaters, mall food courts and drive-thrus.

I know you can't buy beer/alcohol in Mass. at the convenience store. It was pretty strange for me coming from Texas, where you can.

I don't know where you got this map but there is certainly no Sunday sales ban in Illinois, and hasn't been for as long as I can remember.
