How do you find out where music videos were filmed?

From the looks of it, Cruel Summer looks to have taken place in each borough except the Bronx and Staten Island. It looks like they go to the Brooklyn promenade, and sections of Queens close to my neighborhood that have a good view of the skyline--

YouTube - bananarama - cruel summer

Then you have 2 videos about living in the south Bronx when it was at its worst:

YouTube - Grandmaster Caz - South Bronx Subway Rap

YouTube - Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - The Message

Clips of Ghostbusters 2 in this video and just NYC in general. Gotta love the celeb cameos:

YouTube - Ghostbusters II -- Bobby Brown -- (On Our Own) 1989

My favorite group ever This takes place in the south Bronx and Brooklyn, specifically Coney Island:

Most of the music videos I know of in NYC are from the 80s...I don't know any recent music videos since I don't really like the music from the last 10 years. I may think of more though.

I'm not really sure, that's why I posted this lol.

I guess if you had a hunch of where something was filmed you could wikipedia to confirm....but I was curious more based on people just recognizing the city in the videos.

Does anyone know what city Snow Patrol is referring to in the song "Take Back the City"? I really like that song and the video is cool too.

I don't live in Philadephia, but I'm a fan of the city and of the movie that takes place in it. Not to mention I love the song too

Just about every other hip hop video on BET or MTV is shot in Atlanta now a days due to the popularity of Atlanta rappers for the past few years.

Just a few that show off Atlanta that come to mind now are Jermain Dupri's Welcome to Atlanta, Cieras' Oh, Ludacri's Southern Hospitality, Out Kast Southernplayalistic , Young Dro's Shoulder Lean, T.I. You don't know me, Usher's Same Girl,

Also songs by Little Jon, Young Joc, Lil Scrappy, Jazzy Pha, Young Bloods, Soldier Boy, Young Jeezy, etc. etc.

Really just the tip of the Iceberg. The list goes on and on.
