Funerals: Why go to the expense? (living, restaurant, money)

I have made it very clear to My family, that I do not want a lot of money spent for my demise. I plan to be creamated. they can take My ashes and throw them in the river. What difference does it make to Me? They could invite people to have a meal at a restaurant, rather than going to a funeral home. If anyone really wants to show some respect, they will come see Me while I am still living.

I agree 100%. My husband and I are being cremated and there will be no fanfare. No funeral and no ceremony. His daughter will spread our ashes on our land. That's it. Done. I agree, spend time with me while I am alive. It's amazing how many people show up out of the woodwork at funerals and for what reason I will never understand. If you weren't a part of my life then why put on a show at a funeral.
