My husband is british and I am canadian and might be moving to Tampa. I am trying to find out how long is the turn around time to receive a work permit? We would be sponsored by his company to relocate. Does anyone know the cost???

I don't know if it's different for Canadian citizens but ordinarily the employer needs to sponsor you for the work visa and usually they pay the legal costs. How long it takes really depends on where your processing office is located and how busy they are. If you could find out which office covers Florida you might be able to find out their normal processing time.
