Can't really think of anyone.

Some might say Frank and Jesse James and Cole Younger. But others I think are kinda proud of that history.

AL -- George Wallace.

However, I worked in a newsroom during his last run for governor. All the reporters who hailed from up north would absolutely dog Governor Wallace, and deservedly so. But he came to the newsroom to meet the newspaper board for the endorsement interviews, and all these hard-bitten reporters stood for the governor. Almost involuntarily. He worked the room, shook hands, posed for photos, and signed autographs. These reporters acted like a bunch of cotton-picking teenyboppers by the time they wheeled him into the conference room. My word, that was charisma.

It's not only the Aggies that think he's a tool. It's just about everyone who has seen any of his movies.
