Alright, this year we're not just goin to the shore here in Jersey again... I've been doin that since i was a baby.

My daughter has her spring break in mid April and we want to go somewhere far and where we never been to before. My wife and I want a vairety of things to do as a family with our daughter.

We narrowed it down to 4 places but we keep trying to decide but argue and hesitate on which of the 4 to choose.

Here are the places

-Boulder, CO
-Portland, OR
-Kodiak, AK
-Salt Lake City, UT

You may add another idea for us if you like but try to relate it with the 4 choices that are already tossed in the air.
(Remember, it has to be a place far from jersey, because i never really traveled out of PA, got past MASS, And been only to FL in the south)

Why not try something completely different, that's a combination of things for every member of the family to do, as well as a bit of a culture shock coming from New Jersey? Hey, you gotta see how life is in the Smokey Mountains outside of big city livin' at least ONCE in your life - it's a learning experience for the kid, too...

Ok, you GOTTA go to Dollywood. Yeah yeah, it's "yeehaw" at it's best, but they do have neat rides that kids like, and the Pigeon Forge area nearby has all the tacky stuff that Coney Island has, but without the pissed off old immigrant women.

From there you are a short distance from Gatlinburg, TN. Mom and Dad can pick up some neat "home made" crafts and art from the Mountains in the many galleries.

About 1.5 hours South of there is the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. All ages of the family will enjoy it, and there's a neat riverfront park area around there with stuff to do, places to eat, a kid's museum, 3D imax theater, etc etc.

It's a different itinerary. Don't play it safe. Go for the culture shock. It'll still be fun.
