Isn't that castle on the island still unfinished? I think I read a (tragic) story about it that was absolutely fascinating. It's a beautiful structure in what seems like a BEAUTIFUL area.

I'm not sure, but the community took Boldt Castle over. I think the island is in the shape of a heart too. I've never been there, but the Alex Bay/Clayton area of the 1000 Islands is nice.
