Warm as in no snow, very mild winters. Dry or Humid heat are both acceptable.

Low violent crime rates are extremely important.

Cost of living isnt that important, but no where for off the chart riches only.

Diversity matters little. Decent nightlife, colleges, restaurants, culture would be nice as well.

The only one I can think of that has low crime is San Diego.

San Diego is the best other than its very high cost of living.

I believe Jacksonville does pretty well on the crime rate as cities of 750k go. Not so sure about nightlife or culture.

Austin probably scores well on low or moderate crime rate, as well as nightlife. I'm not sure how Austin is for culture, though a major university is bound to have its share of speakers and performing troupes, which would be available to residents of the city.

Hey Minnehahapolitan, you may want to take Atlanta off your list. It has one of the higher crime rates in the country and has been in the top 3 most dangerous cities several times, a couple years at number 1.

Albuquerque doesn't get much snow. Nice dry climate year-round.
