Default Worse hood P2: How to fix it...

I wanted to post on the other forum but I did not want to take away from the original poster. More or less, what I wanted to say is that I feel the way to solve the problems with gangs, hoods, and the violence is to have a mass migration OUT of the crime ridden hoods.

From what i have seen (my family included) any family that makes it OUT of the hood even if they are living in a neighborhood full of strangers, over all, they will have a much safer and better life.

It's simple logic to understand, your location and proximity to things and people determine the likelihood of your future so why not place your self in a better city were you could increase your odds of financial success and decrease the levels of being a crime statistic.

Also, this hole hood mentality is one HUGE cult. They have the motto where if your not with them then your against them and if you strive to do better for yourself then your ridiculed. This is why this s%%T never ends, a few people see the light and they are quickly corrected (misguided) that there thinking is somehow wrong.

I think solutions are: getting the family structure back together, getting to the root cause of how such people are getting such free access to things like guns, drugs, etc., improve the job situation by doing things like introducing trade skills back into the urban schools on a more common basis and by trying to keep industry here.

Remember that many hoods were places were industry was heavy and many of the people that are in such areas are there due to family memebers from decades past being recurited to work in industries like steel, the auto industry, shipping, glass works and so on.

Have higher expectations at home and at school at an early age.

To get back to the things that got people over like their faith. What is disheartening about this country is that it seems when we get a little of something and assimilate more, we seem to forget about our faith that helped us get through the good and the bad times. I'm not saying to not improve yourself, but put things into proper perspective.

Also, we have to get back to what I call the age of "poor in riches doesn't mean poor in spirit" mentality. I think what got many people over in times past and even in the present time is that the people's spirit was one in which they leaned on positive things in the community like family, having a good time, culturally, commonality, etc.

I guess it's a start as to what can be done, in my opinion.
