What is the most dangerous neighborhood of any size in the US? Stats would be nice, specifically murder rates.

A couple years ago, the Pittsburg neighborhood of Atlanta was rated the most dangerous in the country. I remember going through there on field trips and it was a war zone!

I don't know about most dangerous nationwide, but in Kentucky the 2 worst neighborhoods are Portland and Russell on Louisville's West End

In 2008 Russell had 13 murders. . Since 2003 45 people have been murdered in Russell. With a population of 9,000 that's 1 murder for every 200 residents over a 6 year period

In 2008 Portland had 7 murders. With a population of 11,000 that's 1 murder for every 1,571.

And similar posts before that.

If someone were to ask where the most dangerous neighborhoods are in a list of cities you're interested in moving to, that would be different. This, is not.
