This is being discussed in the NYC forum: How us NYers have brunch on weekends. Of course places all over have brunch, but it's something we regularly do on weekends. It doesn't always consist of going out to eat. Many families I know have brunch on Sundays later in the morning. We get bagels from the bagel store, make eggs, bacon, etc. Sunday bagels are a big tradition here in NY.

The Brunch Culture Others may argue, but New York City trumps in the art of this meal. - September 1, 2000

What do people in your city tend to do as a custom more so than other cities?

People here in Colorado don't tend to have a lot of family, so brunching is not so popular.

Lots of Denverites go running in the parks on the weekends, including Sunday AM. (Going to church is not a big thing here, either.)

where I use to live in Eastern NM-- On Sundays in the north part of town also known as Taco Town, locals would cruise up and down the streets, park on the side of the roads and hang out and drink, some would ride their horses or hit pinatas in the park while they have a cook out, then attend the Sunday Dance that the local grammy nominated Mexican band would host.
