Chicago and LA takes the cake!!!
The speed limit may be 55mph but they're going 90+..
But I can't lie I normally exceed the speed limit by 10-20mph.

NYC (excluding Manhattan)/Long Island/New Jersey drivers are probably the fastest and most reckless drivers.

How many people have seen a speeding dollar van in Brooklyn or South Queens? Those fools do 40-70mph on city streets and swerve like crazy, there have been plenty of stories about them hitting pedestrians.

On the Garden State Parkway I've seen people speed in that extra pullover lane on the sides of the highway and even the grass on the side of the highway, it was unreal lol.

Not sure about fastest/slowest cities. Based on the traffic in some places I'd rate Los Angeles, Atlanta and NYC, the slowest but I haven't been to every city.

The states that give the most speeding tickets:

1. Ohio
2. Pennsylvania
3. New York
4. California
5. Texas
6. Georgia
7. Virginia
8. North Carolina
9. Massachusetts
10. Connecticut

What State Gives the Most Speeding Tickets? (http://ezinearticles.com/?What-State-Gives-the-Most-Speeding-Tickets?&id=1273517 - broken link)

Not sure if people ignore traffic law in those places, more or law enforcement is better. Would probably be interesting to see how top speeding ticket states match with top car accident states.

If they are going 90+ in Los Angeles why does it take longer than a 99 year old man with two broken legs walking to get anywhere?

Slowest: Portland
Not only are the speed limits lower than most US states, but everyone's just slow. On top of that they've got California transplants who drive like they've never seen rain in their life.

Milwaukee drivers clip along at very high speeds on ground-level streets with traffic lights.

L.A. is different and unlike anywhere else i've driven, because it's an obvious mix of people from L.A. who like to drive fast, and sightseers not from L.A. that don't know where they are going and so they drive slow. the drivers from L.A. seem bothered by anybody that doesn't know their way around, and usually speed to get by them. i actually had someone literally drive onto the sidewalk to get around me once, i guess i was driving too slow for them lol

Memphis is a mix of the two. I will just come out of Burger King and get into my car right? I get onto Elvis Presley Blvd and somebody is always tailgating and soon flies by as I am cursing them out. Then,5 minutes later Im behind some slowpoke from MS (no ofense) and I speed off .
