Out of the cities I've driven in, Cincinnati and possibly Cleveland have some of the slowest drivers I've experienced. Drivers in Columbus tend not to drive as slow for some reason, but I've found Ohioans in general to be very slow and passive drivers. I've seen people sit through a left turn signal without anyone honking their horn. Detroit had the fastest drivers, and Boston and New Jersey had the craziest drivers.

All Ohio drivers are slow drivers, and they feel the need to slam on the brakes in the middle of a freeway and almost come to a complete stop when they see a cop.

I never drive slower than 75 on a freeway in Michigan.

Slowest is probably Hawaii/Oahu. Rare to see anyone driving over 65. 55-60 is normal.

.
Maybe they know something. There is another thread somewhere in C-D in the past few days that showed that Ohio cops issue more tickets than any other state in the union.

I never drive slower than 75 in Ohio and never got a ticket. Of course, I use a radar detector and CB radio. Maybe Ohioans will soon discover these ancient technologies.

I drive on I-70 between Pittsburgh and Columbus frequently and it seems like most people are not driving that slow. The limit is 65 and I drive 5 above the limit and people constantly pass me on that stretch. I would say most are doing 75-80 including the ones with Ohio plates. The ones that zoom by at 80+ tend to have Maryland, New Jersey, or Illinois plates.

It ain't like that on I-75. Driving 75 will have you passing everyone.

Definitely! I-71 is like that too, especially the rural parts between Cincy and Columbus. The pace does pick up somewhat when getting past Columbus though. I got a chuckle out of your "ancient technologies" comment too.
