So this thread is more insulting that others? Interesting how things have developed on City Data. Posters are more circumspect than they used to be, but still just as insulting...they just put it inside the post, not as the title. What do you think??

A state of Confidence is what makes people most attractive.
A state of Happiness gives people a nice-looking glow.

The ugliest states?

The state of Confusion--nobody wants to be around you if you're in this state.
The state of Depression--not attractive at all.
The state of Bitchiness--just might be the most repelling of all.

The South is just bigger on lookin' beautiful. Beauty pageants and stuff do go on in the north and other areas but they are much more common and popular in the South.
Considering that in America today, good looking tends to go hand and hand with being fit, I'd say Colorado, Massachusetts and Connecticut. The 10 fattest states are all in the south and Midwest. so I'm not sure when American society changed to consider obese people as attractive - hope I didn't offend anyone.

Anyone who thinks the South is bigger on "lookin' beautiful" has obviously never been out of the bubble they live in. Too much of that southern soul food. Maybe those down there dress a bit more conservatively, but that has nothing to do with looks.

Being from the DC area, I find folks between Boston and NY to be pretty darn attractive.

It would be interesting if someone could give examples of living people in different regions of USA. It will of course be a stereotypical picture. States such as Colorado, Oregon and Washington, Pacific Northwest do offer a lot of healthy outdoor pursuits. In my experience outdoorsy liberal leftist feminist women into alternative styles tend to not look particularly feminine. I do agree sliver how you dress doesn't change the actual appearance that is the body and facial features. It can only make things a bit better. That could be said of larger cities where women are more into fashion. Fashion trends fade - style remains. Most importantly, can young women these days make a tasty pie for their boyfriends or husbands? I've probably dreamt away too much watching Waitress with Keri Russell.
