My family is all from NY and NJ except for myself...my father was very strict on me not picking up the Jersey accent, OR the Maryland (where I live) accent I was raised around. I remember being in 1st grade, having to spell "saw" on a sheet of paper as I said it over and over again, because I'd pronounced it "sawl" (common in MD)
I think I was the most proper child in my elementary class! To this day, hearing "waRsh" instead of "wash" makes me CRAZY.
I love the southern accent. My best friend is from Austin, TX. I adore just listening to her talk.

haha. I should take some lessons from you, I have a bad habit of saying 'sawr' if it before a word that starts with a vowel, I sometimes get made fun of for it.

Give me 2 days, that's all I ask...2 days and I assure you, you'd never use that dreaded R again. Ha!
I live in Baltimore now, and have a hard time understanding people at times, even though I was raised in this state. It's like a whole other language. Fast talking, mixed with poor enunciation, and my poor hearing as it is...throw in some ebonics and Im completely lost!
(I do admit, Im guilty of being a very fast talker. Especially if I'm going off on a topic I'm worked up over. I swear I can actually almost pin point the moment in a conversation where my husbands eyes completely glaze over, surrendering all attempts at following where my rant is headed.)

LA
MS
AL & TN have the most beautiful women in the entire world...

MI, IN, KY Is the most frightenning of all--Poor things look like they've been beaton with a spiked bat, then run over(multiple times), by a tractor-trailor... Bless their hearts...

Yeah I think some of these people saying AL, MS, and TN have never been there. I can only speak for the East, but having spent most of my life up north, I can tell you that girls get progressively hotter as you go down further South-- it's just a fact of life that me and every guy friend I have (that I've discussed it with) agree on.

Listen, I'm a Northerner too, but girls in Boston are the most dreadful things- they have no concept of femininity or looking beautiful- more focused on their careers and trying to be "equal" (nothing wrong with that, just takes its toll on the looks)

Now I'll admit there are the redneck types in the rural South that can just be hideous, but the Southern Belles (75% of southern women age 18-35) are just amazing-- and it only helps their looks that they still know how to act like women.

Then as you get further South (Miami) girls become hot in a different, Latin way. I'd say the nexus of the hot world is probably somewhere in lower Alabama and it just radiates outward from there. Maybe there's a second nexus in Southern Cali too, but it hits an abrupt wall in San Francisco.

Case closed, thank you.
