I would LOVE to see what everyone who posted a reply about who is ugly, LOOKS like I have a feeling.....they are NOT beautiful or handsome to most. But, you know what? They are good looking to someone! We all find different looks attractive. What a relief or otherwise we'd all look the same. I've worked as a model and a makeup artist. With the proper clothes and cosmetics, most people (male and female) can be made to look COMMERCIALLY attractive. As an artist, I prefer different kinds of beauty to portray. In every region of our country or the world, the people reflect their lifestyle. Isn't that what makes travel and meeting new people so much fun?!
HA HA, it's a joke. Sorry, just had to add it, after all the other "-est" threads!!!!
Who remembers that this was a joke thread? People seem to be getting all uppity the responses to the question for no good reason. I think the first post was the best and this whole thread would have been the best if people had taken the question as rhetorical.
If you're using Scarlett O'Hara as the barometer for southern women then I'll take a northern woman anyday. I watched Gone With The Wind for the first time a couple of weeks ago and let me tell you something, Scarlett was a bee-yotch!
Being a northern woman, I can totally agree the accent here is hideous. People who speak to me think Im southern because I actually enunciate. The running together mush of words spoken here makes my hair stand on end.

I guess to some northerners they think the southern drawl is grating. I heard one northerner say when they moved to Richmond, they weren't used to such a "deep" accent, they wanted to actually finish people's sentences because they thought we talk way too slow.
I can see maybe how it would be to northern ears. To southern ears, however, northerners don't sound all that smooth and a bit fast when they talk. There are some northerners I have met, however, who dont sound too harsh. Maybe because they took elocoution lessons or something.
