Thanks for the heads up about St. Louis, I'll make sure to never give my business/convention money to that city. This is 2009 people. How embarrassing!

Ahh, quit being such a goddam ninny. Finger-wagging old schoolmarms like you disgust me.

I don't care. You're irrelevant to me.

We were discussing/debating the merits, or lack thereof of indoor smoking. Your thin skinned hubris didn't allow you to participate, therefore you resorted to name calling and attacking me personally. I tuned out, quickly. Wanna bring your "A" game and step up to the big boy table; come along. Until then, epic fail.

I've nothing to discuss with you, I simply wanted to tell you what I think of you.

Contempt for someone that you've never met? Three words: Anger management class.

I think we've had a city ban then a county ban and lastly a statewide ban on smoking. I'm not sure what is involved. I think you aren't supposed to smoke in indoor public places or where you work even if you own the place... except casinos which have special laws that apply to them.

Then it was changed to allow smoking in certain bars and restaurants, over 1,700 of them! I believe it is based on food sales like if a place makes over a certain percent of income from food you can't smoke there. Smoking is probably banned in restaurants where serving alcohol is a sideline, a place people wouldn't ordinarily go to drink.

If I went to a PA motel/hotel I wouldn't expect smoking to be permitted in public areas. It's enforced by the health dept. and I think they can call the cops. Fines are involved like $200 for a first time offender, probably more for an establishment that permits it illegally. I think it's your typical statewide no smoking ban like other states have except for the bar thing. You also can't smoke within so many feet of a public entrance/exit.

Who cares? If you don't like it than sit in the non-smoking section, it's as simple as that. I don't even smoke but some non-smokers drive me nuts. Smokers contribute a lot to their states in the form of tobacco taxes so I say let them smoke.

I know, haha. It's their city, if you think it's disgusting than don't go.

The city is holding off on a smoking ban because the state is taking up the issue, and Milwaukee doesn't want to have a patch work of where you can smoke between the city and the suburbs because of business implications. The city told the state to speed up the issue and pass a ban, they're working on it now.

Smoke em while you can.....

The smoke doesn't know where to stop. Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a pool.
