Richmond: Worst City in the North
Hartford, Newark, Camden, Baltimore, Bangor have all had their day in the spotlight. Now we can discuss why Richmond is the least desirable place to live in the North. Please keep this thread positive, we do not need negativity.
Also, completely off limits to this thread are any arguments that Richmond does not belong in the North. It does, end of story. We are only debating if it's the worst city in the North.

If this means people will stop calling SCRANTON the "Worst City in the North," then I'm all for it!

We all know where you're going with this.
I wouldn't consider Richmond northern at all. But it's not THAT southern, but it's more southern than northern no doubt about that.

No no no, no one can say anything regarding Richmond's Norterness (or lack thereof). This has already been decided by social scientists from Stockholm to Buenos Aires. Please, stay on topic.
Please start giving reasons why its the worst place in the North.
For example: driving through it on 95, it smells like poo.

So Vas was using reverse psychology on us all? So he really wants us to state how Northern Richmond is and be included in that children's Listerine sounding corridor? I figured it, though.

I would not say it so much a Northern city but a Northwestern city. It definetely has a Northwestern vibe. In fact its very similar to places in the far Northwest like Juneau - which is also happens to be a state capital.
As for being the worst - nah. We have some really really really bad cities in the North - Richmond is really not that bad! Even Scranton is not that bad!
