Default NY subrubs and Boston's suburbs have town squares

someone said something before like nyc's and boston's suburbs have town squares like Europe.

Might be true--a lot of the NE "suburbs" really started off as their own towns instead of feeder'n'breeders for the big cities.

I don't think it's all that unusual for suburbs and small towns to have a central square....several of Atlanta's suburbs have squares:

It depends on the town. Cities and more built up areas tend to have squares or plazas. Unless you are talking about town greens or commons? Alot of places have them but people don't know it. The orginial New York Common was changed to City Hall Park when they built "new" city hall about 200 years ago.
