If you like hot and humid weather with thunderstorms everyday between 2-4 pm, then Florida is the place for you. It is like that everywhere in Florida from Jacksonville to Fort Lauderdale for 9 months out of the year.
I've lived in FL & enjoyed it. I'm only two hours away from it now where I currently live. It's a LOT easier to cool off than it is to warm up. Give me that hot sun anyday!
You can always put on extra layers of clothing. You cannot walk the streets butt naked when it is hot and humid outside.
They're not jealous of the real estate prices or traffic in California.

It is SUMMER year round. It is rare that there are days even in the 60s, let alone below that. Yes, there are cold fronts when it gets in the 40s and 50s at NIGHT, but as soon as that hot sun comes out for a few hours, it's back into the 70s in JANUARY.
you're wrong, im from orlando and we had lows below 30 degrees F more than once so far in 2009, and its been below 40 degrees many times, and been below 50 almost every night in Jan Feb and some of March. theres also been alot of highs below 70 60 and sometimes 50 degrees!

there and where I am in Naples. In fact, I went to NY in October and had a 2 hour layover in Orlando. I decided to kill time and go outside. The first thing I noticed was that the HUMIDITY was so much less than in Naples; same day about an hour later.
It seems to be cooler and far less humid where you are.

You're allowed to go outside on layovers? I wanted to on a layover in North Carolina but I didn't think they let you leave the airport.

What do you call Oakland? Compton? Stockton?
And we in FL aren't jealous of earthquakes, wildfires, mudslides....
