I have been in conversations with groups of people talking about this subject. I have actually heard a couple people say "I'm jealous of you" to a person living in Florida. I have also met a handful of people that moved there simply for the weather(both couples moved back). I find people that gauge an area simply on weather to be simple minded dullards.

No public transportation, very few cultural events (how many bands on tour skip FL completely...my friend in Ft Lauderdale complains about this all the time), and an extremely weak job market. Plenty to be jealous about.

Am i jealous of people living in Florida? No, why would I be? The climate would be the biggest thing in the way of me enjoying Florida, but all the overdevelopment wouldn't help matters either.

I'm not jealous at the fact that the show COPS always tapes their episodes in Florida.

The weather down in FL definitely doesn't hurt. Especially if you have seasonal effective disorder, it's a paradise.

I would absolutely love to live in Florida, and I definitely do feel a bit of jealousy towards those lucky enough to call themselves Floridians. I have an obsession with South Florida, and will definitely move down there after my college career.

I keep hearing about how you can get a bigger house in Florida for the same money. Which is cool, because then I'd have more room to store the millions you'd have to pay me to live in Florida.

Apparently most people aren't jealous of you.
