Well I'm sorry for offending you. I didn't know you were looking for suggestions. But like I said before, the map is too general and needs to be more detailed. The cultural zones are too big. Create new, smaller cultural zones to go with the current ones. Please take a hint. I don't need to spell everything out for you. You should get the idea. Now...I'll go away.....

you just repeated what you said before. you need to tell what regions you think are missing, what lines need to be adjusted, etc.

Default My map of U.S. Cultural Regions (updated)

i have taken suggestions on the map and have updated it.

texas has been adjusted. california coastal regions have been added. great lakes region has been added. south west conneticut has been added to the mid atlantic. and various other lines have been adjusted slightly.

I would add this, Northwestern Idaho has nothing in common with Southeast Colorado. ...Nothing at all.

I liked the first one better. This one puts Cities in NY such as watertown, rochester and syracuse in with the midwest when they have verry little in common with midwestern cities. I'd put them back with the northeast.

There's still no Appalachia. It's one of the most distinct regions in the country.

But it's absurd to put places like Northeast Alabama in with Pittsburgh and Upstate New York. Even the "academic's" map places Pittsburgh in the cultural region of the Northeast.
