When he started the post, I was stunned, practically salivating over the possibility of Knoxville TN, only a 12 hour drive south is reaching 96 F, while we only reached 36 F.

I would rather it never get below 65F, but plenty of people disagree with me. And I wish them all health and happiness!

96? I can beat that...how about 99 in Phoenix...it hit 99 for a few days recently. They shattered their old records. It's only a matter of time before it hits 110 everyday!

But Phoenix is supposed to be hot.
East TN's climate is just mild most of the year.

I'd still be impressed with a 60 degree temp difference with somewhere within a day's drive of home. Phoenix is like 3-4 days.
