Where would you want to be if the U.S. breaks up?
Obviously being near family and friends is important, so lets also add that you can convince the 10 people closest to you to follow you to your preferred destination.

Hard one.
While Atlanta is "ok", it's kind of an island of all kinds of folks and ideas in the middle of the Bible Belt, so if the U.S. were to break up, I'd probably pack up and haul off before I was forced to pray or donate most of my income to an established church by law or something. But then, the Northwest might be TOO Kum-ba-yah liberal for me. Midwest, nah, too much corn. Northeast maybe.
I hear Copenhagen is nice this time of year, though.

Either Cascadia(norcal plus Oregon, Washington, and parts of BC). Or New Hampshire or some other libertarian enclave.

Yeah, Georgia would be run by an extreme right-wing fundamentalist theocracy. I'm not sure if I'd want to live there then since basically anything fun would be considered sinful and illegal. California would be an economically powerful country, and may continue the ideas of America. As for me, I think I'll just stay in Japan, or consider Australia, Europe, or Canada.

I'd be outta here as well. The Island is already by itself with no peers (I guess this could make me jealous of TX ) but I would hate to have my city ruined because it will happen. Oh yeah, I'd be in the Mid Atlantic, Midwest, or somewhere off the Mediterranean.
