I'm ambivalent. I don't dislike it here anymore (I did back when I was a teen lol), but I often think about moving. It's doubtful that I'll ever do it, though, since practically all of my family is here. I'm not yet at the point where I can imagine not seeing my parents and siblings on a regular basis.

This area is both very good and very lousy, depending on how you look at it. I would rate it a 5/10 for overall experiance.

I don't like where I live. I will be moving as soon as my daughter is done with school. I don't like the cold and the looooong winters. They may be somewhat mild, but they start in October and don't end until May. Not enough green for me and I miss the ocean.

I moved to Two Rivers, Wisconsin from NE Illinois Fall 2007 and I don't intend to move again. I lived in Illinois 60 yrs. and wanted small town living as I get older. I love being near Lake Michigan (just blocks away, couldn't afford that in Illinois), stores within walking distance, safe neighborhoods, peace and quiet, I'm happy!

I love rural New Hampshire. I am an easy driving distance to larger towns with ammenities or I can go out in the middle of nowhere in minutes. I have mountains and lakes literally out my backdoor with lots of trees.

she was traveling, then came and stayed with me in Chicago for a few months, then both traveled together overseas doing humanitarian work ending up visiting my side of fam in FL on the way back, then kina just stuck here...,then she wanted to continue school here just to do something, then I decided I was going to take a few classes as well working towards a Master's to be in that same "mode"... parents live in panhandle FL so it is close and my dad had an extra house we could stay in for a bit (semi-retired down at his beach place now)... both got done traveling during this economic mess around the holidays as we planned to be back, kina just stuck for now, she can't stand it any longer and moving back to SF... I'll probably be shortly behind soon as I can get a job out there. In dec 08 we decided we could do a little rendezvous here for a year or so, but just being here is becoming a little unfulfilling. My gf is vegan bohemian/hippy type hailing from SF(so shes still in culture shock/denial)... and I'm liberal democrat big city type ... not as bad off as her, but definitely not happy.

definitely "out of place" lol...basically like our lives hit the pause button while coming through the deep south, getting ready for somebody out their to hit that play button again.
