Whasup with North Carolina???!!! I just was looking at the numbers of posts in each state form (cause I'm weird like that ) & I was sure FL would have the most! But not even close! FL is at about 42k - NC 75k!!!
I mean, it's joining the ranks of NY, CA, TX & FL!!! Holy cow! Pretty soon all the "natives" are gonna be trying to escape - if they're not already...!

If the # of people interested actually moved there, the state would probably be the most populous in the nation. However, theyre only mid-pack in the population ranks, and hardly the fastest growing state (AZ and NV take that title). I think 1/2 the NC forum posts are from the same people.
I know lots of people from PA, WV, OH, and MD that moved to NC, especially the Charlotte area. My cousin moved from Pittsburgh to Charlotte 5 years ago and never regretted it because she landed a much better job there. Although I think Charlotte is too big for my tastes, I may venture down there in the near future.
People seem to want to get out of FL, CA, TX, and snowy states and NC looks really good. I had thought about it at one time but since it's growing too quickly, I know I would not be happy. The loveliness of the area will all too soon be covered with homes and people.

It is soooo beautiful and western North Carolina has sooooo much better weather than we do in Houston.
