I live in Palestine a town of 18,000 & the 5 things I love about Palestine is as follows:
1. Piney wood area. Palestine is full of pine trees, has a community forest, it is close to Davy Crocket Forest & the whole area is full of beauty
2. Location: I love our location, I am a city boy & half to go to the city often. In a 200 mile radius which for Texas is close we have Dallas 110 miles Fort Worth 130 miles, Houston 150 miles, Galveston 200 miles, Austin 180 miles, Bryan-college station, 120 I think Tyler 46 miles, Longview 80 miles, Waco 100 miles Temple, Killeen 140 miles, Shreveport,LA 120 & lots of cool towns
3. Texas Railroad: Which goes from Palestine to Rusk. It is beautiful & scenic
4. Scenic City: The city has a great Downtown with a very cool courthouse, it has a great city park. Reagan park which is right by downtown & has a scenic train overpass. the city is full of scenery
5. 2 school systems. Palestine I.S.D The Palestine Wildcats (which Adrian Peterson was) & Westwood Panthers. We have too football stadiums & too schools to go for the win. It is so fun to watch the annual Wildcats v.s. Panthers game.

NYC--
1. In my borough, there are 138 languages spoken in a proximity of about 10 miles.
2. On the same block you can get Egyptian food, italian, chinese, and Morrocan.
3. You save a lot of money by not needing a car
4. The pizza and bagels!!! Nowhere else can you find them as good as here.
5. NYC metro is a great place to grow up.
1. Good economy
2. Quick escape to the woods and trails, by foot or bike
3. Grandeur of our "useless" river
4. The patchwork mosaic of land development - can turn the corner from a power center and be in 19th century farm country then into an interesting older neighborhood within a mile or two
5. Away from the larger cities, but still a day trip away from DC, Baltimore, Philly, even NYC for a culture or shopping fix.
1. Home | Mill Creek MetroParks
2. High quality of life for not a lot of money (I'm only working 32hrs / week, but can still comfortably afford my 3 bedroom house adjacent to the park)
3. The community is small enough so that one person, if they work hard, can make a difference.
4. The history, and the infrastructure / architecture / amenities that remains because of it.
5. Life moves at a slower pace. (I almost never had to work late, or on weekends. If you weren't finished at 5, it could probably wait until the next morning.)
