LOL, I was being extremely sarcastic regarding "Captain good Gene's" comments above. I think he should mail me some of his semen so I can give it to my future wife so we can make perfect kids.

I think Columbus, OH is actually pretty image conscious. I feel it more here then I did in San Diego or Chicago. It gets on my nerves.

As far as I have ever lived NYC is the most image conscious, seconded by London.

For the United States, I think this list is perfect.

After attending SMU I can firmly say that Dallas is by far the most image conscious city in the nation. And it wasnt just on the campus. All over the city, strangers would make comments the way you dress and others would often critize me and my friends for not matching our clothes appropriately.

Im from Houston and when I moved to Dallas, introducing myself to others from the "Big-D" (said in loud, obnoxious, frat boy voice) was always entertaining. I got "poor thing, you're live is gonna be so much better now", and "your life must have sucked until coming here", even though it was quite frankly the other way around.

D-town is a city constantly engaged in pathetic suburb wars where people fight about whether Plano is nicer than Garland. The people are most obsessed with status, fashion, sex, and 'keeping up with the Jones'.

Frankly, I would need to be tranquilized so severely that I could hardly think or care about anything if I had to move back to Dallas.

I've been to almost every major city in the U.S., but L.A. was the only one that felt image conscious to me. (I don't mind) I love L.A.

IMO- Chicago, IL is the most image conscious.

Now my current town Atlanta is also image conscious, we work very hard to maintain our "crime and filth capitol" ranking in America.
