Cities often receive the bulk of a photographer's attention. They often contain the most street life and notable architecture, and as a photographer myself, I find that cities provide a variety of photographic opportunities. Unspoiled countryside often receives the remainder of a photographer's attention. However, in the United States and in several places around the world, a huge segment of the population lives in the suburbs, places between city and country. I am creating this thread to showcase the variety that one can find in suburbs around the country and around the world. I start by posting links to Google Street View images of suburbs around Madrid (Spain) and Miami (Florida). I ask that you post photos and Google Street View links of suburbs in your area and a short description of the kind of area it is, if possible (streetcar suburb, exurb, upper class, working class, etc.) Thank you very much in advance for your participation!

When viewing these links, remember that you can toggle around (the image can rotate in 360 degrees so that you can see north/south/east/west of the exact location on the street I have mapped)!

This is a really cool idea for a thread! Thanks for starting this. I will post some pictures of Atlanta later on; right now I'm kind of busy.

I will definitely do this, but right now my computer is acting stupid, just like every other time that I require it to be working quickly. Hopefully tomorrow.

Great idea BTW!

Thanks, Newarkbomb. The only part of Newark I know is the Ironbound. It's nice to see that there are other nice areas of the city.. I am referring to your photos of the homes east of Branch Brook Park.

Wow, nice to see some suburbs with actual density. Outside of Miami, there are not to many cities that have dense suburbs in the south.
