I live (Aurora, CO) exactly 1033.4 miles away from my birthplace (a hospital in Long Beach, CA).

When I was born, we lived a whopping 16.5 miles away (in Anaheim) from the hospital I was born at, and was born in Long Beach for no other reason than that's where my mother's doctor was based at. I spent the bulk of my childhood in Corona, CA, exactly 41.4 miles away from my birthplace.

I don't think all of the people who live far away from where they were born hate their birth city. Many people leave for different reasons, such as family relocation, employment and/or educational opportunities, and change in environment.

I'm currently 955 miles from my birthplace, going by Google Maps. I didn't move by choice, but there's no way that I would move back.

I have lived in multiple places in Iowa but currently live 181 miles from where I was born according to Google maps. Will be moving farther away in a southerly direction (not really sure where we want to go yet).

I've lived in the same house my entire life. I'm hoping to live in Denver after I graduate from college, which is ~1800 miles away.

2310, as the crow flies. Driving miles is 2641. Farthest ever was 2320/2658 (driving).

Within two years, we will either live about 2400 miles away or less than 60, depending on what we end up doing. My wife was born less than 10 miles from where we live now. Our future move will either put her 350 or 2300 miles away.

2300 miles from home and my wife is further from hers. This may be changing in the future though as we shorten that distance...
