So I currently live in Fort Collins, Colorado, and at the end of summer I plan on relocating. I am looking for a town/city within 20 minutes of beach. here are some things I am looking for:
1. The number one most important thing to me is that rent is not sky high. I believe this will limit me to the east coast but correct me if I am wrong. I have mainly been looking at NC/SC, solely because I dont know where else to look.
2. Both my roommate and I are in our early twenties and single so I want good nightlife for people in early twenties. This does not have to mean big city full of clubs and bars, I would really just like to live around people in my age group.(specifically attractive women around that age :-) )
3. Decently low crime but doesnt have to be perfect. I was originally looking at myrtle beach but crime seems a bit high.
4. I dont mind the cold much but I do not want a place that gets extremely cold. I would actually prefer somewhere that was warm year round but I dont know of anywhere that would also be low cost.
Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

To the OP, Try looking around Rhode Island. You're never too far from the beach there and it's beautiful
