I live in an area that is apparently destitute with regard to good music/drinking establishment combinations. Since, from time to time, my husband and I do travel, I am asking you if your city/town might have something that we would like, so that if we are close in our travels we can stop for a little adult beverage enjoyment.

Basically, I am looking for a nicer, high-end, upscale type adult drinking establishment that would appeal to a little more refined people. Something that would feature outstanding smooth jazz or at the very least some middle of the road music that would approximate smooth jazz, easy listening, old standards, even classical etc. Maybe a true ultra lounge environment.

What I am most definitely NOT looking for is a lot of television sets, a sports bar atmosphere, a place where you will find children, a "dress down" kind of bar that appeals to the tattooed, goatee set.

Some place where you would expect to see profesional people in suits and ties such as attorneys, physicians, etc.

Please let me know if you have one. Thank you.

There are tons in the Times Square area, but I don't know where you're looking to travel and how far.

I think we might have the ultimate jazz lounge...
Green Mill Cocktail Lounge
you know, Al Capone's stomping grounds?

Then again, the place isn't super picky about who comes and goes...
